The South Coast of Puerto Vallarta is where the Sierra Madre mountains meet the shores of Banderas Bay creating an area of beautiful beaches with a rich jungle backdrop. Traveling along Mexico 200 south from downtown Puerto Vallarta, you'll find the remote coastal villages of Mismaloya and Boca de Tomatlan. Boca is the last coastal community you can reach by car before the highway heads inland - but from here you can catch a water taxi to Las Animas, Quimixto, Majahuitas and Yelapa.
